To support digital transformation in the post-crisis transition, EIT Manufacturing RIS Industry 4.0 Hubs Project launches an international open call for manufacturing SMEs and start-ups from RIS countries.
The Open call aims for proposals requesting a demonstration, testing, training, or consulting activities between manufacturing SME (“Small and Medium Enterprise“) companies in EIT RIS Countries and organizations offering Industry4.0 infrastructure.
Manufacturing companies SMEs (OEMs, production equipment suppliers), start-ups or early-stage companies that produce products and parts are main beneficiaries and can participate with one proposal to receive digital transformation services.
Service, software, or technology providers as well as consulting companies in the manufacturing domain that can offer digital transformation services may participate in up to three proposals.
Research/non-industrial legal entities (i.e. research centres, universities, Competence Centres), with relevant expertise of digital transformation, may participate in up to three proposals.
Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) may participate in up to three proposals.

Who can apply?
Manufacturing SMEs, start-ups, early-stage companies – At least one member of the consortium must be a SME in the manufacturing domain that applies for a digital transformation service.
What will you get?
18 companies will each receive a “mini-grant” of 5.600 EUR.
- 12 of these grants will serve for financing individual expert consultations (e.g. by a digitalization expert)
- 6 of these grants help to create a digitalization plan (i.e. a roadmap for the implementation of a certain digital technology).
Deadline: 31 May 2021
Funded projects expected to start in July 2021.
It is advised to submit your proposal before the deadline. If the applicant discovers an error in the proposal the applicant may request the RIS Industry 4.0 Hubs team to re-submit the proposal (email@example.com). Resubmission will be possible at least 48 hours before the call deadline.
